Prepare to welcome the return of Carozzeria Touring Superleggera. They came back in business bringing the Maserati Bellagio, but the real resurrection of the company came with its new vehicle, the Maserati A8GSC Berlinetta Touring. Though the bad news is that you can’t find any image of the new car on the official site of the company but on other websites like Omniauto.it.
At first sight the A8GSC seems to be just a modified Gran Turismo, but it’s a totally new vehicle. It shares though the engine and the transmission with the Italian coupe. The Maserati A8GSC is a body on frame car, more exactly a trelice frame with the body placed over it. This kind of structure allows the car to be very light, weighting only 1.200 kg. The engine is placed in the front middle of the vehicle which makes it have the small and short cabin.
We don’t have much information on the production nor the prices, but probably the car will find just a few owners around the world, due to the exclusive and personalized piece of engineering and design. But for those who still wish to admire this concept you will have the possibility to do this during different auto shows.
