The new Bmw M1 Concept was snapped ahead of the official debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este by Matteo TT Stucchi for Supercars.net website. The car is based on the M1 and represents a modern interpretation of the classic vehicle. Showing a brilliant metallic bronze paint the design lines of the concept are sleek, wide and ahead of their time, just like the first M1 prototype back in 1978.
For the moment there are no technical specifications of the concept but according to the rumors this could be powered by a more powerful V10 engine delivering 600+ hp. The original M1 was Germany’s fastest car at the moment of its launch and was powered by a 3.5 liter engine developing 277 hp and capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds while the top speed was over 260 km/h. The new concept will definetely have to undertake the old car specifications and show a top speed of 350+ km/h.
